1. Workpiece data

LPG gas tank Welding Machines is mainly used for automatic circumferential welding of gas tanks (which can be indexed and segmented). The length of the workpiece is ≤1500mm, the thickness of the weldment is 1-6mm, and the weldment is carbon steel or stainless steel.

Machine main function description

1.1 Workload loading and unloading methods: First, the operator installs the workpiece in the left and right clamps, and then presses the machine start button. The cylinder support bracket is lowered to the bottom position. The right pneumatic tailstock advances to dock the left and right sides of the workpiece. . The welding torch automatically drops to the welding position and performs sub-section welding of the gas tank chassis or sub-section welding of the gas tank handle.

1.2 Welding method: The workpiece is in the fixture, and the workpiece is rotated by the power of the spindle box servo motor and precision RV reducer (accuracy ≤ 3 arc minutes). This machine adopts MIG gas shielded welding process, and the welding power load rate is 100%. 500A water-cooled welding torch and related water-cooled water tank can realize long-term welding of gas tank chassis or handle. Therefore, we choose the Panasonic YD-500FR2 model with CO2 / MAG / MIG function which is suitable for customer-defined materials: carbon steel or stainless steel.

The welding machine is composed of a frame, a pneumatic lifting mechanism, a two-dimensional adjusting mechanism, a workpiece rotating mechanism, an electric lifting mechanism, an electric control system, an operation box, a welding power source, a welding gun and the like.

6.1 The workbench is designed according to the structure of the workpiece. At the same time, it is positioned by the pin. The workpiece is fast and can be welded to the same batch of workpieces.

6.2 The frame is formed by standard rectangular tube group welding, which has good strength, beautiful appearance and no deformation, which can effectively guarantee the welding quality.

6.3 The workpiece rotating mechanism is driven by stepper or servo reduction motor. It has the characteristics of compact structure, stable transmission and low noise. At the same time, the encoder speed is used to ensure the quality of the weld.

6.4 The two-dimensional adjustment mechanism is fixed on the column. Fine adjustment of the welding gun relative to the axial and radial directions of the welded workpiece is achieved in order to adapt to the weld of workpieces of different diameters.

6.5 Pneumatic lifting mechanism adopts standard cylinder lifting and linear guide guiding, which is used for the pressing of workpiece and the lifting and lowering of welding parts during welding. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, stable operation, reliable action and easy realization.

6.6 Control system

a) Adopt CNC machine as the main control unit. All the state and switch input of the control system directly enter the CNC program controller inlet, output direct drive welding power control, torch walking and other functions, thus realizing the purpose of one machine multi-function .

b) Manual adjustment and automatic welding.

3.1 Machine characteristics:

3.2 Structural features:

3.2.1 Machine base

3.2.2 Key holder

The key holder is symmetrical two sets, which can exert pressure on both sides of the longitudinal seam respectively. The fixture is installed on the base, the clamping device of the key-type fixture is the compressed air leading to the airbag, the airbag is inflated and pressed to the lever mechanism, so that the maximum pressure at the pressure finger end is 30Kgf / cm (0.6Mpa) Adjustments are usually made at 7-30 Kgf / cm (unilateral). Pressure finger width of 75mm, made of copper alloy, can be positive and negative use on both sides to extend the service life. The fixture is mainly used for welding the outer seam of the cylinder, and can also be used for the inner seam welding of the large-diameter cylinder.

The operation of the clamping device is to control the clamping or release of the left and right pressure fingers respectively through the buttons on the wire-control button box.

Pressure finger width adjustment. 3.2.3, Mandrel

The mandrel is a hollow square body or a circle, with a copper pad (pad) on it, which is clamped and fixed together with the piano type pressure finger. Gasket on the back of the molding groove, the hole through the small holes to protect the gas. For special materials, molding tank can be installed brass, copper liner for ease of cooling. Adjustable vertical distance between the liner and the pressure finger on the mandrel, the size of which can be adjusted according to the thickness of the weldment, the adjustable range is 30mm.

3.2.4, Bracket

Bracket mounted on the end of the clamp body is a device that connects the key holder and the spindle. The structure of the frame shape, through the lower end of the mandrel bolt adjustment, the mandrel and the pressure finger spacing in the horizontal axis parallel. In welding, the bracket turned upside down, the weldment was loaded, the bracket turned down and locked. Only lock the mandrel under the bracket.

3.2.5, Beams, trolley

On the main body of the left-hand fixture to fix the beam, on the side of the beam, there is a linear guide rail, and a rack is installed on the top. The trolley is run by a DC stepper motor or a servo motor, and then linear motion is achieved by the gear and rack. The motor adopts digital pulse stepless speed regulation, and the trolley speed is 100 ~ 1000mm / min. When you need to move the car fast, you can move the car's front handle plate-type, release the gears and racks, and you can push the car to move fast (manually). The maximum travel limit is controlled by a travel switch. Mechanical stops are installed at both ends of the rail to ensure that the trolley does not slide out of the rail.

3.2.6, Gas system
